instrumental music
Ms. Silverman is the band director at Eagle Rock High School. This includes orchestra, symphonic band, and our award winning latin jazz band. Symphonic Band and Orchestra is the top performing ensemble at ERHS and it is by audition only. Concert Band is for students with at least one year of playing experience for students from 7-12 grade, and Beginning Band and Instruments is for any student interested in playing an instrument for the first time OR needs a refresher in playing or music reading. It is open to all students at Eagle Rock Jr/Sr High School
In addition to concert season and the school pep rallys, the orchestras will have many appearances across the year to play live music as a band. Concerts in the past included:

Believes that all students regardless of age or background are deserving of a well rounded music education. Values the student’s diverse backgrounds at ERHS and their commitment to personal & creative growth. She’s quite the sports fan and attended the University of Iowa for her BM in music, the University of Illinois Champaign for her masters in music education, and Northeastern Illinois University for her endorsement in English as a second language.
